Lee Moses
Time And Place
(1970)
(1970)
Here we are #CrateCrew Lee Moses' only album release, 1970's Time and Place.
Produced by 60's guitar soul luminate Johnny Brantley.
listen for Lee's versions of classic songs of the period including "Hey Joe" and
The Four Tops hit "Reach I'll be there" (Check the drum break on this one).
The album featured several members of The Ohio Players,
as well as Moses' own band, the Disciples.
As usual, when it was released in 1970, it did not receive the acclaim
or the sales it seemed to deserve. But after a few hip hop records grabbed samples from it..it became a sought after must have in the dusty vinyl underground.
