SWEET CHARLES-FOR SWEET PEOPLE FROM..

SWEET CHARLES
For Sweet People From..

as a part of my JB's posts
I couldn't put up Maceo & Fred's albums without putting up
probably the rarest of the JB's affiliated albums...

Sweet Charles...

All I Know is he was the bass player for the JB's
not sure why someone felt they needed to record an album on him....

but it gave us the funk heater, "Yes it's you" and the vocal Sample..
"He's A Sweet Soul Brother" (used by Pete rock)

ENJOY!!

Charles Sherell moved to Holland a couple of years ago, because of his Dutch girlfriend/wive.. I saw him performing with the dutch funk/go-go band Gotcha! a couple of times.. he also recorded with them.
Great performer and great singer!(although om the album the vocals are not the strongest point to my opinion).

Outta Sight, Outta Mind is an excellent track..almost Mayfield or Hutson sounding. Thanks.

For Sure. Great Record! If he sounds a little curtis-y it's because Mr Mayfield taught the man to play the guitar when he was young. :)

Groovy piece of the James Brown/People Records pie. Definitely the rarest People label LP.

SOME MUSIC FOR YOU!!!
